Expected to be released in 2015, the new Acura NSX is going to be fitted with a mid-mounted hybrid (what's with the hybrids?) V6 producing about 480 bhp with four wheel drive. Mid mounted V6? We say 'eww'. We think they should have made the car have a mid-mounted V8, with the rear wheels powering the car, not all four. Then, it will be quite a match against the Ferrari 458. Think about it, a low, flat supercar with a V6. Doesn't sound right now does it? It just doesn't seem good enough for a car with such a legacy. And four wheel drive? As you might know, only some supercars have been able to pull off a four wheel drive supercar, but there's a big difference with the shape. For example, Porsche and Nissan had mad four wheel drive supercars (the Carrera and GTR), but they are not low, flat, wide cars like the NSX. The new NSX is probably going to have too much understeer, and it will feel weird with the engine in the mid section. If their gonna make a four wheel drive supercar, at least let the engine be in the front of back. This will help counterweight understeer. Make it in the middle, and it will only encourage understeer. So this is what we think: a great car, ruined. But, we'll just have to wait and find out to truly know the successor of the great, Japanese 90's legend.
